Two Chinese Imperial style gilt bronze figures of two masters one of them
Tsongkhapa. Both are seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne,
dressed in a patched monk's robe with flowerborders, the shaven skull
painted black. Tsongkhapa has the hands in dharmachakra mudra holding
two stems of lotus flowers flanking his shoulders, the flowers support a
sutra text and a now missing sword. The other master has the right hand in
the vitarka mudra, the left holds a now missing bowl or similar. One sealed,
the other lacking the plaque but with visible consecrated texts. Kangxi
1654-1722. Weight 1325 and 1505 g. H. 14.5 and 15 cm. (2)
