The deep, rounded sides rising from a short straight
7 foot, covered inside and out with a lustrous dark
10 | BONHAMS black glaze with russet hare’s fur streaks extending
from the rim down the interior and exterior, the glaze
falling short of the foot exposing the coarse ware
fired to a pale brown colour.

Song Dynasty
The conical bowls rising from a short foot to a flared
rim, covered inside and out with a rich black glaze
finely streaked with russet ‘hare’s fur’ markings
thinning to russet at the rim, slightly pooling in a line
and thick droplets above the foot.

inverted rim, covered with a lustrous black glaze
integrated with russet streaks thinning to russet at
the rim and stopping before the foot ring to expose
the coarse ware.
