rims, and set on reticulated feet, the sides
decorated with butterflies and insects
amongst a variety of fruiting, flowering and

The first delicately enamelled with insects
amongst scattered fruit sprays; the second
decorated with bats suspending shou
emblems and cash, on a dense ground of
stylised flowerheads and scrolling foliage,
iron red Qianlong seal-mark. The gu vase
