decorated with small gold beads.

A dARK Red AgATe INTAglIO

Burma, 8th-10th century. The top of the ring
bearing a stone intaglio depicting a warrior or
dignitary wearing a large hat or helmet, cut into
a dark red agate, the broad shoulder and ring
top further decorated with a spiraling design in
gold thread.
