the shallow rounded sides rising from a knife-
pared foot to a gently incurved rim, covered
overall with a lustrous black-brown glaze
su! used with iridescent silvery-brown ‘oil
spots’ of varying size, the glaze thinning to
a chocolate-brown at the rim and stopping
irregularly above the foot, the unglazed section
applied with a dark brown dressing largely
concealing the bu! -colored body
