MING DYNASTY, 16TH / 17TH
CENTURY
the pear-shaped body supported on a tall
spreading foot and sweeping up to a waisted
neck and ß aring rim, patterned with Þ ve broad
registers of polychrome lotus scroll against
a turquoise ground, each bud and blossom
comprising petals in contrasting colors, dark
blue-ground bands with ß oral scrolls dividing
each register
