A BLACK-GLAZED ‘OIL-SPOT’ JAR
JIN DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY
Of globular form, the jar is covered with a lustrous blackish-brown glaze and decorated with irregular rows
of silvery splashes. The interior covered with a thin brown glaze, and the lower body and broad foot are left
unglazed to show the fne-grained ware.
