A BLUE AND WHITE ‘LOTUS SCROLL’ BOWL
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A
DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The bowl is decorated in the style of Ming-dynasty ‘Palace’ bowls with a leafy
meander bearing six stylized blossoms on the exterior, a band of lappets above the
foot, and the interior with a single fower in the central roundel.
