A SMALL DOUCAI DOUBLE-GOURD VASE
The vase is elegantly potted with an olive-shaped upper bulb above a A Jiaqing-marked blue and white double-gourd vase with similar decoration,
compressed globular body, applied with two ruyi-scepter handles. It is but with more slender handles, is illustrated in The Complete Collection of
enameled on one side of the lower body with two descending dragons picked Treasures of the Palace Museum – Blue and White Porcelain and Underglazed
out in tones of green and aubergine enclosing a shou roundel, surmounted by Red (III), Hong Kong 2000, p. 160, no. 146. See, also, the Jiaqing-marked blue

dragons enameled in red and yellow. The base is inscribed with a Jiaqing seal current vase, sold at Christie’s New York, 17-18 March 2016, lot 1612.
