Provenance Ravana’s court is in pandemonium following Sita’s renewed refusal of
Cynthia Hazen Polsky Collection his marriage proposal. Two severed arms lay before the couple - likely
Acquired from Galerie Marco Polo, 28 May 1985 another trick presented to Sita to convince her that she will never be
rescued by Rama or Lakshmana.
