A WHITE JADE ‘MYTHICAL BEAST’ 清十八世紀 白玉瑞獸珮
PENDANT
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
rendered in the form of a flattened sinuous
mythical beast, its head depicted sharply turned
inwards and surrounded by its serpentine sinuous
body detailed with ruyi motifs, the flattened
pendant further accentuated with crashing waves
and pierced with apertures, the stone of an even
white colour
