A LARGE GOLD-SPLASHED BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The body is raised on three columnar supports and cast in relief around the sides with two pairs of dragons
centered on and separated by large bosses cast with whorl motifs, all below a pair of bail handles rising
from the rim. The exterior has a russet patina decorated with small gold splashes and green patination in
imitation of malachite encrustation.
