Dauji II, also known as Damodarji, stands at the painting’s threshold Two noblemen are depicted riding highly decorated prancing
venerating Shri Nathji. Dauji II ruled Nathdwara peacefully between horses and escorted by their armed retinue. At the far right of the
1797 and 1826 and is credited with building a large sanctuary hemispherical horizon, a city can be seen, while on the left, a family
(gaushala) for 4000 temple cows. See a later, posthumous, but closely of gazelle ponders the travelers. The bright, turquoise foreground and
related, painting of Dauji II performing arati on the day of Sapta- zigzag riverbank are characteristic of later Bundi and Kotah school
Svarpotsava, which is dated 1846 (Ambalal, Krishna as Shrinathji, paintings. See earlier portraits of Ram Singh II of Kota in the Los
