A GILT-BRONZE BELT HOOK
WARRING STATES PERIOD, 5TH-3RD CENTURY BC
The arched shaft is finely cast with two pairs of intertwined dragons
terminating in a dragon-head-form hook.

This belt hook is notable for its boldly vase relief decoration and the
generous gilding. A similar gilt-bronze belt hook dated Warring States
period, 4th century BC, from Sanjicun in Pingshanxian, is illustrated in
Hebei sheng chutu wenwu xuanji, Beijing, 1980, p. 55, no. 220.
