LATE MING-QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH CENTURY
The compressed globular body is raised on three supports in the form of
a bird perched on the back of a monkey, and is decorated around the sides 明十七/清十八世紀 銅錯金銀仿古盉
with bands of archaistic patterns inlaid in silver and gold. The bird-head
spout rising from spread wings is surmounted by a rat, and the openwork 來源:
handle is in the form of a mythical beast with an arched body formed by Michael B. Weisbrod, 紐約, 1989年。
