A SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE
Tang Dynasty
The horse modelled standing four-square on a rectangular base,
modelled with its head slightly turned to the left, bulging eyes and
alert ears, the body glazed in rich ochre with brown-glazed strapwork
suspending medallions, the unglazed saddle with traces of red pigment.
