Early Ming Dynasty 14th century
Heavily potted, the centre carved with a flowering branch and foliate Sturdily potted, the gently rounded sides rising from a short foot,
scrolls, covered in a rich olive-green glaze except on the partially- the interior carved with stylised lotus in the centre encircled by further
glazed base revealing the orange biscuit body. scrolling lotus, the underside undecorated, covered overall with a
43.5cm (17 1/8in) diam. lustrous olive-green glaze except the wide ring on the recessed base
burnt russet in the firing.
