A PAIR OF DOUCAI ‘LONGEVITY’ DISHES
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND
OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)

Each dish is painted to the interior with a fruiting peach tree with a trunk twisted in the form
of a stylised Shou character, the exterior with three similar trees separated by underglaze-
blue ruyi sprays.
