The Longquan censer is covered overall
with a thick, crackled glaze of sea-green
tone, the interior with three apertures
connecting to the feet; the qingbai censer
is carved on the globular sides with a band
of floral motifs, applied to the exterior with
a clear glaze of pale bluish-white tone, the
interior and base are unglazed revealing the
fine white body with small brown specks.

A CARVED LONGQUAN CELADON
VASE
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The vase is carved on the exterior with
diagonal lines forming a trellis pattern, set
between a band of petal lappets above the
foot and undulating lines below the neck, all
under a glaze of olive-green colour.
