A FACETED YELLOW GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
IMPERIAL GLASSWORKS, BEIJING, 1720-1830
The translucent egg-yolk-colored bottle is carved with convex
circular panels on either side, surrounded by a row of facets.
Each narrow side is carved with lobes.
2 in. (5 cm.) high, turquoise stopper

A BLUE-OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
IMPERIAL, PALACE WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, 1730-1800
The transparent overlay is carved to the bubble-sufused ground
with two large dragons with coiled bodies, one with a single-horn,
the other with a beak, as well as a third smaller dragon. The tail of
the beaked dragon forming the foot ring.
