A CARVED CRYSTALLINE QUARTZ SNUFF BOTTLE
1740-1850
The transparent crystal bottle is carved in relief through areas of
black and dark green color with two Buddhist lions, one with an
embroidered ball under its paw, and is incised on one narrow side
with a beribboned stylized rhinoceros horn.

The bottle is fnely decorated throughout in shell and gold inlay on
a black lacquer ground with diaper patterns between decorative
borders.
