A BLUE AND WHITE OVOID JAR AND A COVER
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The elongated ovoid jar is decorated with a continuous scene of the Seven
Sages of the Bamboo Grove engaged in various scholarly pursuits, including
playing the qin and inscribing a rock. The cover is decorated with a scene of
rocks, bamboo, and chrysanthemums.

1018 besides a cave entrance, with each holding a flywhisk. The other side is
decorated with 'antiques,' books, and a duck-shaped censer.
A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE `PHOENIX TAIL' VASE 6¡ in. (16.1 cm.) diam., fitted brocade box
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is decorated on the flared neck and bulbous body with continuous $30,000-50,000
scenes of figures in a landscape, all between bands of cloud motifs at the
flared rim and the foot. PROVENANCE:
