well cast in the form of a tall segmented bamboo shoot flaring
at the rim, intricately cast on the exterior with attendant
slender shoots of leafy bamboo, growing from cragged rocks
with small shrubs, beside a phoenix perched on a rocky ledge
with lingzhi sprigs, the bird with its crowned head turned
backwards, its body finely detailed with furled feathers, the
wood stand pierced in openwork with bamboo
