A closely related pear-shaped vase, painted in a similar
style depicting oxen instead of horses, in the Sir Michael
Butler Collection, is illustrated in Katherine Butler and
Theresa Canepa, Leaping the Dragon Gate. The Sir Michael
Butler Collection of Seventeenth-Century Chinese Porcelain,
London, 2021, p. 402. Another vase of the same form, but
decorated with figures in a landscape, is in the Ashmolean
Museum, Oxford, included in Eastern Ceramics and Other
Works of Art from the Collection of Gerald Reitlinger, Oxford,
1981, cat. no. 87.
