                                      appearance of a brochantite patina. Some streaking and staining are visible on the
                                      patina moving down from the ear and also over the proper right hand (not shown).
                                      P L A T E  37  Great Buddha, 1252, Kotoku-in Temple, Kamakura, Japan. Hollow bronze.
                                      H :  13.35 m.  The general patina is brochantite on the back and west-facing sides,
                                      atacamite on the south side.
