A large flambÉ-glazed pear-shaped
vase
19th century
The thickly potted vase with a bulbous body rising to a
tall cylindrical neck, all covered with a thick raspberry-
toned glaze with delicate streaks of dark bluish-purple
reaching over the foot and inside the neck.

An anhua-decorated turquoise-
glazed ‘dragon’ vase
18th century
The bulbous body delicately incised with two
striding five-clawed dragons in pursuit of a flaming
pearl amid cloud scrolls, a further five-clawed
dragon on the neck in pursuit of the same pearl
beneath a border of classic scroll at the rim, the
exterior and inside of the neck all covered in a
glossy turquoise glaze showing a fine craquelure.
