A BLUE-GLAZED VASE, CONG PROVENANCE:
TONGZHI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF Private European Collection.
THE PERIOD (1862-1874)
A similar pair of vases was sold at Christie's London, 6 November 2018, lot 300.
The square-section vase is supported on a circular foot and two sides are
moulded with elephant-head and fxed-ring handles, all covered in a rich blue
glaze stopping at the foot ring.
