repoussé depicting the animals of the zodiac
and applied with gold wire on a punched
ground, the sides incised with a frieze of
stylised animals alternating with foliage, fitted

rows of palmettes, the underside engraved

Circa 1920, mark of Luen Wo, Shanghai
Of globular six-lobed form, each bearing
a quatrefoil stippled ground panel, applied
alternately with three sets of floral sprays of
peony, chrysanthemum and iris worked in
raised silver wire infilled with naturalistically
coloured enamels.
