Two depicting a scene from ‘Legend of the
White Snake’ with Lady White Snake with
her maid Baoting boating among her lover
Xu Xian and other figures, whilst Buddhist
and Daoist Immortals look on from the shore,
the other bottle decorated with the eighteen
Luohan, with a stopper, all bottles with a four
character iron-red mark to the base.
The tallest: 8.5cm (3 3/8in) high (4).

RED SNUFF BOTTLES
19th/20th century
Comprising: a blue and white snuff bottle
with horses under willow trees; a snuff bottle
with iron-red decoration of an Immortal and
bat, Guangxu six-character mark to the base;
and a snuff bottle with an iron-red flying
dragon chasing the flaming pearl among
underglaze-blue clouds, with glass simulating
coral stopper.
The tallest: 9cm (3 1/2in) high (4).
