18th/19th century
Of rectangular form, one side deeply carved to depict a scholar
beside a boy attendant, beneath a tree, surveying a landscape of
rocks and pines, the reverse incised with pines and rocks within a
key-fret border, rosewood stand.
13cm (5 1/8in) high x 21.5cm (8 1/2in) wide (2).
