A SILVER- AND COPPER-INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF
PADMASAMBHAVA
BHUTAN, CIRCA 1800
Seated on an openwork lotus base with inscription, holding a vajra in
his right hand and a kapala in his left, dressed in fowing robes with
ornately incised hems and copper inlay, face with silver-inlaid eyes
and a teardrop urna fanked by large pendant earrings topped by a tall
crown, centered with the sun and crescent moon

TIBET, 18TH CENTURY
Seated in lotus position on a lotus base, his hands holding the stems
of lotus blossoms which fank his shoulders, dressed in a billowing
robe, his gentle expression surmounted by a foliate tiara, backed by a
jeweled and faming nimbus
