A BRONZE FIGURE OF ACHALA
TIBET, 12TH/13TH CENTURY
The wrathful protector striding in alidhasana,
holding his attributes of a sword and a noose,
wearing a tiger skin dhoti and an incised sash,
adorned with jewelry and entwined snakes, his
face in a ferce countenance with bared fangs
and bulging eyes with hair rising in a faming
bun and centered with a seated Buddha
