                                         kiku no shiratsuyu    and the feelings of love I now have
                                         yoru wa okite        are like dew on chrysanthemums —
                                         hiru wa omoi ni      accumulating through the night,
                                         aezu kenubeshi       fading in the unbearable light of day.
