The Reid family has over the years amassed a fine art collection which crosses numerous cultures and eras. Its
collection of Chinese works of art has a focus on early Chinese pottery from the 12th and 13th century, a period
regarded by many as the apogee of simple, sophisticated ceramic-making, and when the production of tea-ware
flourished in countless kilns in northern China as well as the southern provinces. The Reid Family Collection of tea-
wares exemplifies many of the different types produced in those eras.
