the pear-shaped body rising from a short tapering foot to a
tall cylindrical neck with lipped rim, covered overall with a
pale beige glaze suffused with a matrix of golden crackles

VASE
SONG / YUAN DYNASTY
of pear shape, rising from a short foot to a tall columnar neck
and everted rim, the shoulder set with a pair of lion masks
suspending mock ring handles below an incised double-line
band, covered overall with a milky-white slip beneath a clear
glaze stopping above the foot ring revealing the buff-colored
body
