A RARE AND FINE PORCELAIN CRACKLE’
BRUSH WASHER
China, first quarter of the 20th Century
Beautifully moulded, with flared body, wide
shoulders, narrow neck and raised border;
completely covered with a fine, cracklè, light-
celadon enamel; the body featuring famille
verte decorations and a scene depicting
branches, flowers and leaves; featuring a very
fine, ruyi-shaped band around the neck,
decorated with famille verte floral motifs.
Period: Late Qing Dynasty / First Republic of
China.

Of a nice, globular shape, decorated with plants
and flowers on a nice“pseudo clair de lune”
background; inscriptions on the back, probably
featuring the date and the signature of the
artist; a four-character mark in the base center.

A FINE PORCELAIN BRUSH WASHER
TONGZHI MARKED AND OF THE PERIOD
China, Tongzhi (1862-1874)
With a nice, slim border, decorated inside in the
tones of famille rose with two boys riding two
buffaloes; external border decorated with three,
red-iron bats; at the base center the seal, four-
character, underglaze mark of the Emperor
Tongzhi.
