around the exterior in rich cobalt-blue tones
with five-clawed dragons, phoenix and cranes
amidst swirling cloud scrolls, the base inscribed
with a six-character mark in underglaze blue

sides rising from a short tapering foot to mark
an everted rim, painted to each side with a
phoenix soaring amidst floral blossoms borne
on undulating stems bearing lush foliage, the
interior decorated with a stylised character
within a double square to the centre and a
key-fret band to the rim, the base with a six-
character mark in underglaze blue
