This vase, decorated with bold designs of luxuriant lotus scrolls, is very
rare. Compare with a very similar vase bearing a Qianlong impressed
mark on the base sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 9 July 2020, lot 2843,
and a smaller vase (31.5 cm.) of similar form and decoration with an
underglaze-blue Qianlong seal mark from the Huaihaitang illustrated
in Ethereal Elegance: Porcelain Vases of the Imperial Qing, Hong Kong,
2007, no. 51.
