A VERY RARE MINIATURE DING EWER
TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The ewer with a globular body is raised on a splayed
foot, and has a pinched rim and a strap handle and
is covered overall with a creamy white glaze.

The vessel is modeled in the form of a tortoise with its open mouth forming the
spout. The shell is set with a rope-twist handle, and the vessel is covered in a 重要私人珍藏
pale beigish-cream glaze.
