                                                                                                                                    Water pots of this form are known as taibai zun, after the Tang dynasty

                                                                                                                                    similar form. They are also known as jizhao zun because their shape   (mark)
                                                                清十八世紀 紅釉玉壺春瓶                                                        resembles chicken coops that are woven with small openings at the top
                                                                                                                                    through which the chicks are fed.

              A FLAMBÉ-GLAZED BOTTLE VASE
              QIANLONG INCISED SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD
              (1736-1795)
              With bulbous body and slightly waisted neck, the vase is covered
              with a crackle-suffused, streaked glaze of rich crushed strawberry
              tone, the interior and base are covered with a crackled white glaze.
