                                                                                                                                 The dish is decorated in the center with a scene of a
                                                                                                                                 seated lady playing the qin within a cartouche. The well is
                                                                                                                                 decorated with white-enameled lotus scroll on a diaper
                                                                                                                                 border below shaped floral panels on the silver ground.

                                                                     Santos, London.                                             these engraved marks, which were colored black, of numbers
                                                                                                                                 and letters corresponding to the particular class of porcelain,
