LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
Raised on three truncated conical supports, the compressed

on top of the milky white body. An additional character, han, is
inscribed under the nianhao.

her passing, Margaret left her collections and financial
resources for the opening of a museum, and in 1982, the
Margaret Woodbury Strong Museum opened to the public
in Rochester, New York. Upon its opening, portions of Alice
Woodbury’s Asian art collection were featured in a central
gallery in the museum. Also from this collection is lot 1128, PROPERTY FROM THE STRONG MUSEUM, SOLD TO BENEFIT THE
COLLECTIONS FUND
the Qianlong blue and yellow ‘dragon dish’.
