The censer is cast as a globular mythical animal with the mouth
agape and a single-horn on the hinged cover, standing on a 展覽:
coiled snake. 普魯士藝術學院，柏林，《中國藝術展》，1929年1月12日-
3Ω in. (8.5 cm.) high 4月2日，頁47，圖版45號 (圖一)
HK$200,000-300,000 US$26,000-38,000 《西清古鑒》卷38中錄有一造型及高度與此近似的漢獸爐，可資比較。
另參考舊金山亞洲藝術博物館Avery Brundage珍藏中一件近乎相同的
