Edo period (1615-1868), 19th century
Of 24-plate construction, the top lacquered grey, inlaid with four gilt-
metal chrysanthemum blooms in relief, the tehen kanamono of gilt
metal, finely cast and pierced with chrysanthemum blooms and foliage;
the underside lacquered red.

Edo period (1615-1868), 19th century
A black-lacquered mask with a detachable nose protector, natural
hair moustache and beard, the three-lame yodarekake (throat guard)
laced in sugake odoshi style, the ear guards and the underside of the
chin pierced with mutsuboshi-mon, the jo-mon of the Toda family of
Matsumoto; unsigned.
