Moulded with elaborate scrolls overlaid with circular panels painted in painted in underglaze blue with two moulded scholars in landscape
underglaze blue with formal designs, set with double scrolled handles; panels on a ground of chrysanthemums and clouds, with two moulded
each side with a hinged filigree panel moulded with blue-painted dragon head handles, two writhing dragons coiled around the stem;
insects and opening to reveal painted insects. the base painted with chrysanthemums and the cover surmounted by
38cm (15in) high. a finial in the form of a seated shishi.
