This delightful and extremely fine example is at the pinnacle of
Provenance: Yongzheng period enameling. It was in the collection of William Martin-
Leo & Doris Hodroff Collection, no 5026 Hurst, whose collection formed the basis for George Williamson’s
Alex Huisman, Antiquaire, Den Haag (The Haque) seminal work, The Book of Famille Rose published in 1970.
W Martin-Hurst Collection, no. 571 Additionally, it was in the collection of Leo and Doris Hodroff, which
Jacob Gieling Collection, no 1702 formed the basis of David Howard’s book, The Choice of the Private
Trader.
