A MUGHAL JADE-HILTED DAGGER
India, 18th/19th century
The jade hilt with curved foliate quillons, the rounded pommel with
scrolling leafy flower sprays, the jade of mottled creamy hue,
the steel blade set within a possibly later reticulated white metal
foliate-design sheath.
38.7cm (15 1/4in) long with the sheath. (2).

Each of long curling form, exquisitely carved and pierced with one bat
among scrolling foliage with auspicious lingzhi, the stone of even pale-
white tone.

One ring with a flat square face with orange-russet tone, the rest of the
smoothly carved ring a pale green tone, 3.3cm (1 1/4in) wide; the two
jadeite rings smoothly carved, the smaller with purple and apple-green
patches, the largest with bright apple green and brown striations,
