VAJRAPANI AND RETINUE retinue of attendants, as portrayed in this large and refined panel
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY of Vajrapani. Three attendants are depicted, from top to bottom,
Himalayan Art Resources item no.61665 Raudrantaka, Hobsedug, and Dushanti Rozendu. The artist repeats
79.5 x 62.5 cm (31 1/4 x 24 1/2 in.) them on either side for symmetry. The rosettes of Vajrapani’s necklace
were developed during the Kangxi and Zanabazar style. See examples
