          The top of the hinged cover has ruyi-shaped
          baitong mounts at the corners and square handles
          at the sides, and a shaped, two-part lockplate and
          cloud-form hasp in front.

          cm.) deep

          A SMALL LINGBI SCHOLAR’S ROCK
          The stone is of irregular horizontal form with
          small jagged edges, reminiscent of a mountain
          range with snow-capped peaks. The limestone is
          of greyish-black tone with creamy-russet calcite
          inclusions, interspersed with striations of paler
          color.
