          The  four-armed  god  Vishnu  rides  comfortably
          on  his  vehicle,  the  anthropomorphized  bird
          Garuda. Garuda’s wise eye, downturned beak and
          feathered skin are all executed in exquisite detail.
          Two  woman  await  the  duo's  landing  with  bowls
          burning  with  incense.  Compare  the  painting  to
          a similar Rajasthani work in the Edwin Binney III
          Collection at the San Diego Museum of Art (acc.
          no.  1990.683),  depicting  Vishnu  and  Lakshmi
          riding atop Garuda in the night sky.
